 RPF Inkotanyi Rwandan Savior 

Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF-Inkotanyi) was founded in 1987 in Uganda by Rwandan refugees, mainly Tutsi, who had fled ethnic violence and persecution in Rwanda over the years. Many of its members were part of the Rwandese Alliance for National Unity (RANU), an earlier group advocating for the right of return and equal rights. In 1990 The RPF launched an armed struggle from Uganda into Rwanda on October 1, 1990, demanding political reform and the return of refugees. 1993 The Arusha Accords were signed between the RPF and the Rwandan government to establish a transitional government and allow the return of refugees. 1994 After the assassination of President Habyarimana on April 6, 1994, the genocide against the Tutsti begun.

The RPF, under the command of Major General Paul Kagame, played a decisive role in stopping the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. While the international community largely failed to intervene. The RPF resumed its military offensive in April 1994 It advanced from the north and east, systematically capturing territory and protecting civilians.

By July 1994, the RPF had captured Kigali and declared a ceasefire. In doing so, they stopped the genocide, saving hundreds of thousands of lives and ending 100 days of mass killings in which over one million Tutsi and moderate Hutu were murdered.

After the genocide RPF formed the Government of National Unity with other political parties. It focused on rebuilding the country, promoting reconciliation, justice (through Gacaca courts and the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda), and economic transformation.

The RPF has remained the dominant political party in Rwanda, with Paul Kagame becoming President in 2003. And the Journey To unite the people of Rwanda and enable them to build a secure, democratic, and prosperous nation based on equality, freedom, and dignity.

RPF emphasizes national unity and reconciliation, Good governance and accountability, Sustainable development and poverty eradication, Security and peace for all Rwandans.

 

Vision and Mission of the RPF was To create a Rwanda that is inclusive, resilient, and self-reliant a nation where all citizens have equal rights and opportunities, and where future generations can thrive in peace, democratic society built on the rule of law. Empowerment of all citizens regardless of ethnic background regional cooperation and peace, technological and economic advancement However, its mission and vision continue to drive Rwanda's transformation into a stable and forward-looking society.
